KATTS offers a discount to universities and students for interview transcription. No VAT will be added to the quoted price.
As a rough guide a clear 1:1 interview recording would normally take 1 hour to transcribe 10 minutes of audio. Working on this assumption 1 hour of audio would take 6 hours to transcribe. The proofread would probably take another 1 to 2 hours to complete. Obviously this can vary widely depending on the complexity of the content, voices, accents, background noise etc.
KATTS has worked with many people studying for their MA and PhD and offers a discount for this type of transcription.
